Our 9-Step Process That Sets Us Apart
STEP 1
INITIAL CONSULTATION
Our first meeting is all about getting to know each other and ensuring we’re a good fit. Since you’re reading this, that step is already underway. We’ll:
- Review your goals and vision for the project
- Discuss your budget and financing/payment options
- Talk through timelines and your role in the process
- Explain how we work and what to expect at each stage
STEP 2
RANGE OF COSTS PROPOSAL
Following our consultation, we’ll provide a Range of Costs Proposal based on the scope of work we discussed. This proposal includes estimates and allowances that reflect your preferences and project goals.
While not a final quote, it typically offers a 90–95% accurate budget range, which helps you decide whether to proceed with the next step.
STEP 3
PROFESSIONALSERVICES AGREEMENT (PSA)
Before construction begins, some planning and preparation are needed. These preconstruction services are covered under a Professional Services Agreement (PSA).
Depending on your project, the PSA includes:
- Final scope of work
- Detailed specifications and finish selections
- Project timeline
- Final costs
The PSA ensures we can deliver an accurate fixed-price proposal. It’s a standalone agreement and does not commit you to move forward with construction. You will also own any work produced during this stage
STEP 4
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
Once we’ve completed the initial design and estimating, we’ll meet to review everything in detail. This includes:
- The scope of work
- Project timeline
- Payment schedule
- On-site logistics
- Communication methods and expectations
You’ll also be introduced to your Project Manager, who will be your primary point of contact throughout construction.
STEP 5
CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT
At this stage, we will present your Construction Agreement, which includes a fixed price and a finalized plan. You will have:
- Signed off on the design and specifications
- A clear understanding of the project scope and budget
- Confidence in the schedule and responsibilities
We’ll review the agreement with you thoroughly to ensure clarity and alignment before starting construction.
STEP 6
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
With construction underway, our team will manage:
- Ordering materials
- Scheduling subcontractors and inspections
- Overseeing all day-to-day operations
We will also keep you informed with regular updates, so you always know the progress of your project.
STEP 7
IN-PROCESS CHANGES
It’s not uncommon to make decisions or adjustments once work begins. We’re prepared to accommodate those changes professionally and efficiently. We will:
- Review any requested changes with you
- Explain their impact on cost and schedule
- Document and implement changes promptly
STEP 8
PROJECT COMPLETION
As we approach completion, we shift focus to quality assurance. We’ll:
- Conduct a detailed inspection of all work
- Review how to operate any new systems or appliances
- Complete a thorough cleanup of all areas we’ve worked in
- Provide a final checklist for you to note any outstanding items
STEP 9
WELCOME HOME
Your project is complete and ready to be enjoyed.
We will provide you with our OnePoint Warranty Policy that will detail our continued support and care of your project.
