Our Founder
I wanted to take a moment to personally introduce myself and share the story behind OnePoint, our family-owned business that I’m incredibly proud of.
It all started with a passion for painting and improving homes. My brother-in-law, William Helu, and I have deep roots in the painting industry. I began my journey with Student Painting while attending UC Davis, and William gained his experience working in Reno, Nevada. In 1995, after marrying William’s sister, we decided to launch HSP Painting Company. Over the years, we expanded into California, Idaho, and Colorado. Like many, our business faced challenges during the Great Recession.
I relocated to Austin to rebuild and reopened the business alongside my children. William, meanwhile, continued to operate successfully in the Reno/Tahoe area.
In 2019, I recognized a need in Austin to bring together high-performing contractors who shared the same vision of quality and service. That’s when I founded OnePoint Contractors Group. Even during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to expand our services, adding make-ready, design and staging, renovation, and construction to our offering

By 2023, we merged HSP Painting Company and OnePoint Contractors Group into one unified company: OnePoint. Our mission is simple: to deliver an exceptional customer experience through what we call our “Four Points of Value”

PJ Guarino
President
PJ is the founder and president of OnePoint . As an entrepreneur, he has consulted on or owned over 15 businesses. His true passion, however, is his family and his ministry. In addition to four children, three of which work for OnePoint, he has three grandchildren and 17 nieces and nephews.
Emelia Guarino Cruz
Marketing Coordinator Administration Assistant
Emelia is the Marketing Manager and Vice President of OnePoint and the daughter of PJ. She has been working in the marketing field for the last 7 years. She loves being able to see her ideas come to life. She enjoys adventuring around the world with her husband Michael. In her free time she loves trying new restaurants and spending time with their three Australian Shepards.
Michael Cruz
Project Manager
Michael is the Project Manager of OnePoint. He has been working in customer service/sales for the past 9 years and joined the family business when he married Emelia. Outside of work, Michael enjoys hunting for new coffee shops & traveling with his wife Emelia.
Evesi Guarino
Design & Staging Consultant
Evesi is a certified Designer and Stager for OnePoint Design Services and is the twin sister of Emelia. She loves being able to help clients turn a house into their dream home. In her free time she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
Mandy Clark
Administrative Manager
Mandy is the Administrative Manager for OnePoint . She has almost 20 years experience working in finance, human resources and business administration. When she is not working, Mandy enjoys serving in her community and spending time with her four adult children.
Max Atenico
Production Manager
With over 35 years of experience in construction and project leadership, Max brings extensive industry knowledge and hands-on expertise to the OnePoint team. As Production Manager, he oversees production operations and helps ensure each project is carefully coordinated, efficiently managed, and completed to OnePoint’s high standards. His experience, attention to detail, and strong leadership play an essential role in keeping projects running smoothly from start to finish.
Olivia Atenico
Project Coordinator
As Project Coordinator, Olivia plays a key role in keeping OnePoint’s day-to-day operations organized and running smoothly. She helps coordinate projects, manage internal processes, and support communication across the team to ensure every detail stays on track. Her strong organizational skills and operations leadership help create an efficient, seamless experience from behind the scenes through project completion.
